why don't you see it too?

the colors of your soul

paint this dusty old place

with every hint of every hue

the spectrum of light resides inside you.

your eyes of chartreuse and emerald green

project vivid images far and beyond

you help the world to see the beauty in life

that to our eyes are just objects that merely exist.

you're a gift from the stars

carrying the universe within your eye of light

you hold the answers,

you even see them in your dreams

you teach us to dance with the wind

to love ourselves

live life and be free.

why can't you feel what it is you want us to be?

we believe.

through the portal of your eye we see

those droplets of cosmic rain

that fall from the heavens

kissing your porcelain face

they bring life to all that is dying here,

why don't they bring you life too?

you breathe it.

you believe it.

you see it.

you are it.

the beauty of living lies within you.

i only wish that you would embrace the love within and believe in yourself, too.

if you listened to your own heart speak

and felt half of what you give to all who crosses your path,

you too would flourish in the power of love.
