Apathetic Divided A crab mentality But the question that i pose to all is
Will you stand?
For the mother who had to bury her only child Because he had no positive role model Because he thought that fast money was the way But bullets know no name
Will you stand?
For the homeless person on the street Getting by the best they can One day they eat, one they might not Finding a home on the street
Will you stand?
For the victims of domestic violence No matter man or woman, black or white No one deserves to be beaten In the name of love
Will you stand?
For those lives taken By those sworn to protect Lives taken even while being compliant And those under suspicious circumstances
Malcolm X once said, "A man who stands for nothing, Will fall for anything" In these days and times, We must come together
So i ask you,
Will you stand? (c)aa2018
Epic poem, indeed, Anthony! It puts morals, values and humanity into perspective, and through a rhetorical strategy, draws the line between right and wrong. Bold, inspiring, and candid. Nice write, Anthony! Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely again another excellent write Anthony x
Wonderfully spoken. We all need someone to stand
