Wild beyond taming, wise beyond her years,
So many stories to tell, so many fears.
Restless, and angry, bored with time,
What can she do to occupy her mind?
She had been there done that, over and over again,
All her moneys gone, along with her friends.
They weren't really her friends at all, they only
Proved to be her biggest downfall.
The streets call to her, she feels so wild tonight
She’s wanting some action, wanting a great big high.
No gas in her car, no money in her purse,
But who really cares, things could be worse.
Old faded blue jeans been in her closet for years,
And an old tye dyed shirt, got a couple of rips and tears.
Her favorite hat, Good wrench Chevrolet
along with her leather jacket she bought for her
Birthday.
The stars were out, not a cloud in the sky, she
Stuck out her thumb, but the cars passed her by.
No worries, she would be picked up soon, but still
She walked as storm clouds gathered about the moon
Too far from home now she couldn't turn back, and
She had forgotten to bring her backpack.
Everywhere she traveled she had brought it along
But seemed like tonight everything was going wrong
Tiny drops of rain fell from the sky,
then faster and heavier as the minutes ticked by.
There was nowhere to run nowhere to hide, nowhere for warmth
nowhere, nowhere in the dry.
She was soaked clean through, the leather jacket
Tight, just when she could take no more, she saw
The bright car lights. He stopped and took her in,
And that is how she met him.
Ten years have passed them by, oh they had a problem or two,
but then what do you expect, they both started a new.
They were both searching that night, searching for something more,
and they found something neither had ever had before.
