How lovely the smiles we wear,
While just for shots the smiles we feign;
Shinny teeth in chin-to-chin smiles,
App-cleaned faces, no pimple reveals…
I wish we were as happy as our pictures
For in shots we’re whole-faced
- shielding our holed heart,
…nothing is more dangerous!

This poem reminds us of how the grass is not always greener on the other side. In other words, just because something looks happy or great, doesn’t mean it is. Good wisdom for everyday life, especially since pictures can have a powerful effect on others, bad or good. In this case, what lies beneath obviously isn’t a fantasy of perfection or mere bliss.
