I may keep these going

Til I reach the age of 40

I was feeling burnt out

But now just like Stella

I just got my groove back

If I was a music artist

I would do every song acapella

It's too difficult to stay on beat

My mind is like a disobedient dog

It never wants to go on a leash

I play a daily game of hide and seek

Searching for my inner peace

I write poetry with a heavy handed

Influence of rap

Didn't know you rap and poetry are cousins

How can you be a poet and not like rap

Quit being estranged

And get reunited
