Lurking in the darkness the monsters play, Until the knight in shining armor chases them away. “Begone monster time for my little one to sleep, You have caused my little one to moan and weep.”
“Never frighten this child of mine for she is dear I would not wish her to tremble in fear. O princess, mine I will protect you as I can, But your heart I cannot protect from man,”
It will be broken and I will cry with you, My little one your tears break my heart into. Grown now no longer little, but you are to me And my little princess you will always be.
“Take my hand daddy. Walk by my side, Give me to my man as his bride. Though I marry and move away, You are my knight every day.”

Very evocative. Parenthood is difficult but rewarding job.
