Sowing seeds with soiled hands
One by one to perfection
He planted hope with dedication and attention
Watered the seeds but came to no heed
As it lay dormant and bowed
Through a season of persistent drought
His dreams became moribund
But still he prayed that one little seed
Would unfold with new blossom
With his love and care
He called upon God
The benevolent Almighty
And rain came pouring down
The seeds of faith, love and light will now find ground.
