Poetry is the fine art of expression,

It leaves an indelible impression.

Poetry touches the heart and soul,

It might be about love or about your latest goal

Poetry can be a breath of fresh air,

It can make you cry or make you not care

It can touch your heart and make you cry,

with a . story of death or make you want to try

Poetry can change our world,

It can be found in boxes with paper curled

You can find it in a tattered book,

Or an ending you wrote with one last look.

It can motivate, take you on a trip,

as it describes ocean air getting on an islands strip.

It can make you bleed out of an old wound,

or want to see an ex lover or howl at the moon.

Or it can heal and soothe a broken soul,

Make the broken pieces of your life whole.

Professor's teach the love of it,

a history lesson, or english lit.

No matter what, its yours to be told,

forever in your heart to have and hold.
