Frosted windows, glass so cold,
Tattered curtains, house so old.
Times before call to me, beckon enter,
Tricks of the mind, that long ago winter.
I saw it. No matter it was not a dream,
And try as I might failed to muffle a scream.
Towards me it came, I turned to run,
Swallowed up by darkness, my nightmare begun.
Round and around, then again some more,
Lightning cast, savage thunder, rains did pour.
Merging visions, confusion spilled in the night,
Neath the heart, shadows edge closer in the night.
Vipers blood, falling deep, deep, deeper still,
Ancient screams, reaping a terrifying chill.
Darkened abyss, I just want to leave this place,
And evil appears, wearing your lifeless face
Dirt ‘neath my finger nails, uphill climb I make,
Death do not capture me, my soul you will not take.
Breathe me life, so beat my heart, a bright light I see,
Awaken, awaken, I cast away your haunting memory.
