My dear poe,
Have you received my poems of sadness,
From the dark raven,
We both call our friend.
Have you recovered,
From your late annabel lee,
As she drifted into the blue sea,
Far from your reach.
Did the stars align for you yet,
As the constellations absorb your pain,
From cruel heartbreaks,
Knocking under the floorboards.
Is your heart ready to love again,
As you are trapped from within,
In the pendulum trap,
You call your mind.
Have you encountered the red death,
Hiding beneath our masks,
Chanting Nevermore,
Behind a sealed letter.
I never met you poe,
I read your work,
It gave me more hope,
Than the ghostly tamerlane.
We are black cats,
Blending in the dark,
Shedding light,
For the forgotten ones.
Thank you, Triana, for expressing your respect and regard for Poe poetically. Truthfully, it is awesome to know that great poets from the past such as him didn't write and use their words in vain. We all leave a legacy and this poem is proof! Thank you so much for always sharing your poems with us!
