My Song

The peacefulness of the wind, 

reminds me you are near.

Your cool touch against my face assures,

I have nothing to fear.

I feel you all around me.

Your presence is strong.

My heart sings to you oh Lord,

Please take joy in my song.

You deserve every praise,

I am capable to give.

Shouting to the world,

You are the reason to live.

Thank you for loving me,

Making yourself known.

You are my strength and protector, 

With you I'm never alone.

I wrote this poem while taking a few minutes to sit and relax on my front porch. It was such a beautiful day and it reminded me how great God is. Watching nature and feeling the wind reminded me that he is all around us. He is in the wind, the sun, the trees, the birds, etc. We are never alone.
