I was falling, they broke me hard. I never thought I'd make it out alive.
They poisoned me and they felt so right.
All the pills I took didn't ease the pain.
I was just living under the rain.
I thought my wounds wouldn't fade away.
So I had to start all over again.
Because all the pirates stole my land.
But I was safe because I have my friends.
Now I see them laughing as kings.
They celebrate with some other queens.
But they know nothing about happiness.
I learned how to control my sadness.
The scars from the knife are just memories.
And you see, I had to hide myself.
Put it out, lose myself, kill my soul.
I had to find the right guy.
I'm that right guy.
And now I'm celebrating Because they don't know me They don't know myself, Don't know my friends, They don't know I did things right. They think I've lost, But I've just won in life.
Chico, that's really good to hear!
Life has its battles, indeed, but for as long as we can fight to succeed to push forward to a brighter and better future, we can win.
Thank you for using yourself as an example to other through your poetry! It was a great poem.
