The Freedom to write poetry on any subject I like

The Freedom to be frank in my spoken word

The Freedom to demonstrate my feelings and be true

The Freedom to be political in what I say

The Freedom to be radical in my point of view

The Freedom to be uniquely me

This is what Freedom means to me

I am not bound by topic or subject

I can write about anything I choose

I can write about politics and I have nothing to lose

I will not lose my Freedom over what I write

I will not be banished from my country of birth

Left to my own devices, to find asylum far, far away

Scared and lonely in a strange new place on this planet they call earth

My Freedom does not have an invisible line

My Freedom is secure and the choice to lose it is all mine

I will not lose my life over anything I have to say

I can challenge my Government on forums online, start up a petition to get laws changed

I will not have my Freedom take away, Democracy is the star of the day

Freedom is sacred and should be everyone’s right

Don’t let Freedom be lost, together lets put up a fight
