This is an example of a quatrain, but the rhyme scheme is a little different than mentioned here before, it is ABBA if you count only strict rhymes, or maybe AAAA if near-rhymes are OK. #GetYourVerseOn

I sit on a runaway Train
knowing life will never be the same
waiting for the inevitable pain
As the Train collides and ignites in flames
Thank you for sharing Lee, i really enjoyed this, I've never heard of this before, although i have read poems in this style, just didn't know what they were called, so I gave it go in response to Lee's its a bit dark, it changed quite a bit as i started writing and matching words. Good fun.
