To be black & conscious in America is to be in a constant state of rage Hidden colors of history, no longer a mystery, motivating my words on each page
No amount of sage can tame my inner beast
Or praying 5 times a day while facing the East
The least I can do is to creatively spread awareness
Reflecting the times in rhymes is the duty of an artist
Many issues exist that get me pissed and I feel powerless
Yet I continue to resist their set trip with RBG on my chest
Elder Garvey said to invest in a repatriate trip back home
But there're enemies even inside some of our own domes
Everywhere is home for the original woman and man
Exile the crowd of those around you who refuse to understand
They'll take the witness stand and help the man infiltrate your party Pretending to be a fan of the cause but will cause your departing
They're scared to take a stand with black skin but have white masks in reality
Skin color doesn't make another your brother but others will say that's a fallacy
Hypocrisy leaves fingerprints and footprints in the sand
It takes pain in order to gain growth in the journey of a man
Use culinary pans to expand the life lessons that you consume
Fast food will lead to your doom by causing an embrace of an early tomb
This is a powerful poem of wisdom in the world we occupy.
