A journey far, no shelter near,
Dark nights shadows traces of fear.
Stumbling footfalls, wet sand upon her knees,
Echo’s thunder, lightning riding the breeze.
A rainbow of tears she doth cry,
Safe haven’s search a weary sigh.
Yet onward she stumbles again does she fall.
“Give in, give in, give in, the darkness calls.
Breathe. Just a slight wisp of breath,
Sweet surrender, messenger of death.
No peace, and the nightmares cause,
Breathe. You must escape deaths claws.
Life’s trials, shattered soul,
Ashes of darkness, lonely and cold.
Further and further twisting mind sucks her under,
Heart takes on the beat of savage thunder.
Why continue to breathe? Why exist?
Slowly she prays. Where’s death’s final kiss.?
Tears. Death does not come, and her body lingers on,
An angels soft touch, and her joyous song.
“God is your strength if you but ask,
You’re here for a purpose, an unknown task.
You must have faith, He will show you the way,
Get on your knees and pray, pray, pray.”
“He will guide you, conquer your fears,
Give your heart joy, still your tears.
Through Him your life is worth living,
Cherish the love that He is giving.”
Breathe. What a wondrous song to sing,
No need to worry what the tomorrows bring.
He carries her burdens now, broken through the wall,
Gave her safe haven. He will catch her whenever she falls.
