I cannot fathom these soulful cries,
The ache that spreads, shadows that pass by.
Tears. I hear them, I long to comfort each one,
But so many never captured the rising sun.
I am a number, there is no name to my face,
Mercy please. Help me escape from this place.
No escape. Guarded so well cannot leave,
Captors smile, so many they deceive.
Trusted souls left us behind never to return,
Emptiness we have, but for love we yearn.
Deserted. Left alone to roam these eerie halls
Forever prisoners inside these cold brick walls.
Can you see me? Can you feel my icy breath?
Never more too live, a nameless grave a numbers death.
Many lives, roam the halls of the asylum to play,
If you travel here alone, better make sure you pray.
