A Rose

Dedicated to my Ma

I've never seen a rose,

As beautiful as you.

Your smile lights up the room,

A characteristic of few.

Your temperament is sweet,

Comforting and warm.

With strength of a tiger,

Tough as a thorn.

You are a symbol,

Of beauty and grace.

You taught me to love,

With an open heart to embrace.

You inspire me,

To live my life with love that grows.

To always see myself,

As beautiful as a rose.

Here is a poem dedicated to my Ma. She is a very important person in my life. She has taught me so much and helped me become the woman that I am today. She passed away in January 2017 and it still feels like yesterday. The tears may have slowed but the pain is still there.
