I never look forward to work
I always try to make the best of it
some days I provide the entertainment
some days I provide the gloom
I can take constructive criticism
but it's gotten to the point
where I wonder If I do anything
right in your eyes
it's so hard to produce with a skeleton crew
I put the team on my back
simultaneously while you pretend to be a jockey
you treat me like a Kentucky Derby Horse
even if I win the race you have something to critique
everytime I punch the clock
feels like I'm fighting a losing a battle
I have a better chance at getting
Democrats and Republicans to come to a agreement than pleasing you
you are pushing me away
do you even want me to stay ?
I'm teetering on the edge
maybe it's time to leave 👌
I think there are LOTS of people who understand these sentiments and feel very similar these days. I love the lines: "everytime I punch the clock
feels like I'm fighting a losing a battle" because of the double meaning of "punch" like fighting...
