Upon the porch I sit taking in the view,

Each day here brings something new.

Meadows and valleys rain clouds and thunder,

Trees and forests a peaceful wonder.

I do not wish to leave, I do not want to go,

Leave me here to wait on the newly falling snow.

It is Summer now, but winter is not far away,

Leave me here. This is where I want to stay.
