Taking the Waters Or Waters Taking Us?
Some oceans drown us
Under bright and molten sun
Or a relentless and unseeing moon.
Some seas drown us
As mercy from burning ice.
Some contained waters drown us
As revenge for imprisoning them
In enamel, concrete or marble tombs
That either don't have or have far too much room
Depending on its purpose.
The worst waters drown us
From crystal glasses or their poorer cousins
While we make passes at strangers
Who do not see who we are
Until we are alone
Then they take us home
Wherever that might be.
Wine And Romance
Close the door
Look around
And let's confirm
That no one here.
Come on dine,
Do some romance
and let me take some
Glass of wine.
Play some songs,
Sync with that music
And let me relish
Your succulent lips.
Read my mind,
Pick out my wish
And let's do some fun
With full bold and wild
